About Calendar Tools
Last updated: 2026-06-25
Calendar Tools is a free set of Korean calendar utilities for the 24 solar terms, public holidays, lunar-solar conversion, and a perpetual calendar.
Every calculation runs in your browser, and the data is provided transparently, based on Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute lunisolar data and the statutory holiday regulations.
What Is Calendar Tools?
Calendar Tools (calendar.moneycomon.com) is a free set of utilities that helps you quickly and accurately find the date information people look up most often. In one place you can check the 24 solar term dates such as Ipchun and the winter solstice, a year's public and substitute holidays, lunar birthdays and memorial days, and the calendar for any past or future month.
Operating Principles (E-E-A-T)
- Experience — The tools are designed around the information people actually look for on a calendar (holidays, long weekends, lunar festivals, solar terms) and show results immediately.
- Expertise — The 24 solar terms use an astronomical approximation based on the Sun's ecliptic longitude; lunar dates use a lookup table built from Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) lunisolar data; holidays follow the statutory regulations.
- Authoritativeness — We provide the standards and source links of official bodies such as KASI and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
- Trustworthiness — We disclose our calculation basis and clearly label estimates (especially solar term times). Your inputs are never collected or stored.
Data Sources
The data and standards each tool uses are based on the following official sources. The lunar and holiday data embed a lookup table for 2024-2035, which we update to the latest values when they change.
- Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) — Lunisolar conversion data, 24 solar terms, almanac
- Ministry of the Interior and Safety — Regulations on Holidays of Government Offices, substitute holidays
- Regulations on Holidays of Government Offices — Basis for statutory and substitute holidays
A Note on Accuracy
Calendar Tools' results are reference information based on public data and astronomical calculations. Lunar conversion and holidays (2024-2035) use lookup tables and are accurate, but the 24 solar term times are estimates from an astronomical approximation and may differ by a day near midnight. Temporary public holidays declared separately by the government are also not included. For important plans, please also confirm with official sources such as the KASI almanac and Ministry of the Interior and Safety announcements.
